Clear Edge currently employs a small number of administrative employees at its existing location. It's new global headquarters, which will include a research and development center, is being constructed near U.S.169 and 46th Street North at the Greenhill Distribution Center industrial park. The firm plans to hire upwards of 180 employees.
Clear Edge Filtration CEO Rick Von Drehle said: "Northeast Oklahoma is an attractive location for expansion for a number of reasons, ranging from its central location and intermodal transportation options to its reasonable cost of living and business-friendly environment. In addition, the area offers an excellent workforce and access to the skills we require through the top quality educational and vocational training institutions."
As an incentive the company has been approved for grant funding through the Oklahoma Quality Jobs program, Tulsa Metro Chamber said.
"We congratulate Clear Edge both on its success in the Tulsa region and on its continued growth internationally," said Mike Neal, president and CEO of the Tulsa Metro Chamber. "Northeast Oklahoma continues to attract industry-leading companies and offers existing companies a business-friendly environment that fosters success and expansion."
Tulsa Mayor Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr. stated: "The manufacturing sector continues to be a major driver in Tulsa's economy, and we are excited that Clear Edge Filtration is constructing its new global headquarters and creating more jobs for our region."
