Canasia Solar Corp. is planning a solar module manufacturing plant around London, Ontario. The facility will initially produce 50 megawatts of energy annually, and ultimately 200 megawatts each year. The first project phase will create more than 100 jobs, and a total of 500 jobs at full capacity.
The power produced in Ontario will be exported to international markets, with emphasis on India and the Middle East. It has already received letters of interest from Indiana and Saudi Arabia.
