Science Applications International Expands Operations Hub in Hanahan, South Carolina

A technology integrator primarily serving the U.S. government, Science Applications International Corporation is expanding its operations hub by relocating to a new facility at North Pointe Commerce Park, seven miles north of North Charleston, in Hanahan, South Carolina.

SAIC will expand its platform integration and production operations with plans to create 200 new jobs over the next five years in Berkeley County. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. The company designs and develops IT solutions that empower diplomatic missions, support military operations and advance both sea and space explorations.

As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.

This investment is directly tied to the expansion of our platform integration operations and is a critical component of our long-term strategy. We appreciate the support from South Carolina, the City of Hanahan and Berkeley County. Governor McMaster’s commitment to supporting this initiative was integral in enabling us to build upon our strong relationship with the state. We are excited to grow our talented workforce as we continue to address our customers’ most critical missions,” said SAIC CEO Tony Moraco.

This is consistent with Berkeley County’s efforts to contribute to our military and support the heroes who defend our great county,” Berkeley County Supervisor Bill Peagler explained.
