FedEx Express Consolidating in Belgium

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation, is planning to build a regional headquarters in La Hulpe, Belgium, for its Europe, Middle East, Indian subcontinent, and Africa division. Final government permitting is in process, with plans for the 187,550-square-foot facility to open in 2009. More than 600 jobs will be consolidated there from other FedEx centers in Belgium, and the company anticipates at least 60 new openings per year for the first two years and 40 per year after that.
