PPG and PVS Partner at West Virginia Iron Salts Facility

PPG Industries and PVS Technologies have partnered in the construction of a PVS facility at PPG's Natrium, West Virginia plant. PVS will produce iron salts at PPG's chlor-alkali and derivatives facility. The plant is expect to be operational by late 2010.

"Our new facility at Natrium will significantly expand PVS's total production capacity, as well as our geographic reach and ability to serve new and existing customers in the United States," said Dennis Rutkowski, president of PVS Technologies.

The products both companies produce are used in different ways, including purifying drinking water and producing pharmaceuticals. PVS has produced iron salts for the past 25 years, which are used to treat drinking water and wastewater.
