GAM Expands Manufacturing At Its Mount Prospect, Illinois, Complex
09/08/2016
According to company officials GAM, which invested several million dollars in the expansion, transformed itself from light production to full manufacturing. The company increased capacity more than 350%, while reducing lead times to less than 1 week for popular gearboxes and servo couplings used in automation applications.
“I am extremely proud of our team and glad we got the opportunity to show our guests what we accomplished,” said Craig Van den Avont, President of GAM at a recent grand opening. “It is important for our government representatives to see firsthand what it takes for U.S. manufacturers to be competitive in the global marketplace.”
Mayor Arlene Juracek said, “GAM is an example of success that can be achieved when the entrepreneurial spirit takes advantage of today’s high-tech world.”
