The majority of the company’s investment, approximately $300,000, will be split between fixed building and equipment and machinery costs, according to Columbus 2020. The remaining $100,000 will go toward items including training, computers, software, furniture and fixtures.
“Homage has experienced rapid growth since its founding in 2007, resulting in numerous office and warehouse locations in Central Ohio,” said Jason Block, President at Homage. “We are looking forward to bringing all of our team under one roof and remaining in our hometown of Columbus.”
Hiring for the new jobs is expected to begin this year. Openings will include positions in the areas of design, digital and marketing, sourcing and production, fulfillment, operations management and administration.
According to Columbus 2020, a public-private partnership that leverages the strengths of the Columbus Region to ignite economic growth for Central Ohio, the company’s commitment, which includes adding jobs to its existing employee roster over the next three years, is contingent upon final approval from the City of Columbus.
“It is always encouraging to see a homegrown company like Homage succeeding and expanding its operations,” said Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “We are proud that Homage is staying loyal to its Columbus roots, and can’t wait to see the company continue to grow.”
“In a matter of a few short years, Homage and its unique products have come to define a ‘classic’ Columbus look,” said Councilmember Michelle M. Mills, Chair of the Development Committee. “We are proud that Homage has chosen to grow its operations and add high quality jobs in the Columbus Region.”
