Construction Supply Company, MarJam, Invests $1.6 Million To Open Orlando, Florida, Distribution Center
01/11/2013
"Our expansion into the state of Florida is exceeding our expectations. We look forward to our continued growth within the state and the city of Orlando," said Chief Counsel Jim Holiber of MarJam Supply Company.
"MarJam selected a site in the City of Orlando that is rail-served, so the company could grow their business by selling and transporting products to other locations throughout the nation and overseas," said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. "This is proof that Orlando is increasingly being considered as a gateway to other parts of the world, particularly Latin America."
"MarJam Supply Company's decision to expand into our region shows Metro Orlando's economic stability," said Rick Weddle, President and CEO of the Metro Orlando EDC.
As an incentive, MarJam Supply Company received approval from the State and City of Orlando for an incentive package worth approximately $30,000 from the Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund program. They are also applying for a Quick Response Training grant for the initial 10 employees the firm plans to hire.
