GTM Sportswear Opens Sublimation Center In Manhattan, Kansas, Expected To Create 650 Jobs
01/30/2013
The new UltraFuse Sublimation Center and the relocation of the GTM Select cheerleading uniform cut-and-sew facility from Texas to Kansas will lead to significant job growth within the state of Kansas, Manhattan and surrounding communities. GTM plans to create nearly 650 new jobs between 2013 and 2017.
“While competitors are building this technology overseas, GTM is doing it right here in the Midwest and creating substantial job growth,” said Dave Dreiling, owner and CEO of GTM Sportswear. “Adding this facility in Kansas also creates an enormous competitive advantage. Instead of each sublimation order taking weeks and months, like our competitors’, GTM will be able to fulfill orders for customers in a matter of days.”
“It is terrific to see GTM rocket from a small start-up to a leading Kansas company,” said Gov. Sam Brownback. “It took the hard work of Dave Dreiling and his employees over many years to reach this point. Kansas has created the business environment that can support their efforts and ingenuity today as they plan for a bright future that will greatly contribute to our state’s economic growth.”
“GTM is a homegrown Kansas success story,” said Pat George, Kansas Commerce Secretary. “The company has blossomed over the years, greatly contributing to the business sector in our state. I’m excited for GTM and excited for Kansas. It’s a great thing for the economy when our companies invest here and create jobs.”
