Multicraft International Plans To Expand its Pelahatchie, Mississippi Manufacturing Facility
03/26/2013
Established in 1978, Multicraft International operates two facilities in Pelahatchie, Mississippi, and is improving its largest facility located in the Pelahatchie Industrial Park. The company currently has 107 employees engaged in the production of electrical switches, solenoids and complex wire harnesses as well as metal tubing used in producing brake lines, radiator lines and air conditioning systems.
“Multicraft is experiencing significant growth as U.S. manufacturing, particularly in the South, benefits from its attractiveness in the global market, and Mississippi’s business-friendly environment is once again demonstrated by the tangible support and assistance of all the agencies involved,” said Multicraft Chief Executive Officer Andrew Mallinson. “I thank the officials at the Mississippi Development Authority, Rankin First Economic Development Authority, Rankin County and the Mayor of Pelahatchie for their combined and continued support of Multicraft.”
"Multicraft has been a part of Mississippi's business community for 35 years and is proof of our commitment to existing businesses here in our state," Gov. Phil Bryant said. “I am grateful to the Multicraft team for further investing in their Pelahatchie operations and creating new jobs for the area’s workers."
To support the expansion, the Mississippi Development Authority provided the company with assistance for modifications to its Pelahatchie facility.
“Multicraft is a prime example of a homegrown Mississippi business that has enjoyed success throughout the years, and I am grateful we were able to assist the company with this expansion,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “I appreciate our partners in Rankin County who worked with us to make this project possible, and we wish Multicraft many more years of success in Pelahatchie.”
