Harverster Manufacturer Top Air Opens Expanded Parma, Idaho, Manufacturing Center

04/09/2013
Top Air, a company that designs and manufactures high-quality garlic and onion harvesters, recently completed construction on its new state-of-the-art production facility in Parma, Idaho.

The firm’s new facility, which is 2.5 times larger, gives the company the flexibility to manufacture larger machines should the need arise or increase production if global demand for its equipment increases, the state Department of Commerce said. The new facility also provides the space necessary to research and develop new products for the growing needs of agriculture mechanization.

The company’s equipment features a patented topping system for removing the tops of onion and garlic during the harvesting process, making Top Air a leader harvesting technology.

Its location in southwestern Idaho allows the company to be close to its customers. Top Air said it believes that being near its customers creates a feedback loop that enables it to make even better equipment. "We have access to resources in Idaho that allow us to be competitive both domestically and abroad, and Top Air is committed to making long-term investments here in the Treasure Valley," Top Air President Duane Kido said.
