Taylor Forge Constructs New Tulsa Facility, Plans Workforce Expansion
05/02/2013
Its manufacturing center, to be constructed at Cherokee Industrial Park in north Tulsa, will focus on process and heat transfer packages. Operations at the facility will include complete in-house process and mechanical design and fabrication of skid mounted gas processing packages, along with thermal design, mechanical design and fabrication of shell and tube heat exchangers.
Tony Osborn, the firm’s vice president and general manager at its new facility said, “As a recognized leader in slug catchers, process separation, pressure vessels, extruded headers, and traps, returning to the design and manufacturing of gas processing and heat transfer components is a logical step in our support of the natural gas processing and petrochemical industries.”
Mike Kilkenny, CEO of Taylor Forge said, “The investment in this new facility and these two product lines is not only a complement to our existing lines but another reflection of how we add value to the complicated process and high pressure applications throughout the energy market. Our heat transfer and gas processing products will be produced to the same high quality Taylor Forge standards our customers have come to know and expect.”
The new facility is scheduled to be fully operational by September 2013. Taylor Forge is in the process of applying for the State of Oklahoma’s Quality Jobs incentive, according to the Tulsa Regional Chamber.
“Our region’s thriving manufacturing sector continues to grow, and we are very pleased to welcome industry leader Taylor Forge to northeast Oklahoma,” said Tulsa Regional Chamber President and CEO Mike Neal. “Taylor Forge will be an excellent addition to the Tulsa region business community, and we look forward to a continued partnership with this outstanding company.”
