Silicon Valley Tech Company Relocating HQ to Indiana

06/26/2009
Scale Computing, a developer and manufacturer of data storage technology solutions, will relocate its corporate headquarters to Indianapolis, Indiana, according to state economic development officials. The Indianapolis Business Journal says the company currently has 15 employees and plans to expand to 50 by the end of next year. Scale is the manufacturer of TrueCluster data storage technology, which uses cloud computing technologies to reduce enterprise storage costs costs by up to 75 percent. "Indiana has a wealth of talent and a burgeoning technology sector that is somewhat undiscovered," says Jeff Ready, Scale Computing's founder and CEO. "We look forward to growing our company here and returning a significant investment back to the people and state of Indiana." State officials did not release information about Scale Computing's financial investment, but have offered the company a $2 million grant to assist with relocation costs.
