Book Publisher Insourcing Jobs to Indiana

Author Solutions, a provider of self-publishing and marketing services for book authors, will invest more than $4.5 million to consolidate its operations in Shanghai, China, into its Bloomington, Indiana, corporate campus. The move will insource more than 140 new creative, customer service, and technology positions that were previously based in China. "There is a strong creative community from which to draw, and the talent from Indiana colleges provides us with a work force prepared to be successful in a fast-paced industry like self-publishing," says Kevin Weiss, president and CEO of Author Solutions. State and local incentives offered to the company include more than $675,000 in performance-based tax credits and training grants.
