Wausau Supply Expands West Branch, Michigan, Manufacturing Operations

Building products manufacturer and distributor Wausau Supply Co. plans to expand its operations in West Branch, Michigan. The at least $41 million project is expected to create 92 jobs in Ogemaw County.

The investment will include the construction of a new 260,000-square-foot facility that will house the company’s end-to-end door manufacturing operations.

“As an employee-owned company, growth like this means something different for us. Every new job in West Branch is also a new ownership stake in our future,” said Wausau Supply Co. President and CEO Brian Miller. “This facility lets us expand our manufacturing capabilities to meet real demand from our customers, and we couldn't ask for a better place to do it. Michigan's skilled workforce and the strength of the partnerships we've built here gave us the confidence to invest in this community for the long term.”

To support the project, the company was awarded a $575,000 Michigan Business Development Program (MBDP) performance-based grant.

Wausau Supply Co. manufactures and distributes building products for commercial and residential construction markets throughout the U.S. and Canada.
