Phasecraft Plans Arlington County, Virginia, Headquarters Operations

United Kingdom-based quantum algorithms company Phasecraft plans to establish operations in Arlington County, Virginia. The $113,000 project is expected to create 19 jobs.

The company’s new office will be located in the Ballston neighborhood and support its growing work with U.S. government agencies and private-sector clients.

“Phasecraft’s new Arlington HQ represents a significant milestone for the company. As our work with agencies across the U.S. government and the private sector continues to grow, so too will our American work force,” said Phasecraft Cofounder and CEO Ashley Montanaro. “We’re thrilled to now call Virginia home as the company continues to grow rapidly.”

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) worked with Arlington County to secure the project and will support Phasecraft’s job creation through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, which provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs in order to support employee recruitment and training activities. As a business incentive supporting economic development, VJIP reduces the human resource costs of new and expanding companies. VJIP is state funded, demonstrating Virginia’s commitment to enhancing job opportunities for citizens.

“Quantum computing has the potential to transform industries from energy to advanced materials, and Phasecraft’s work sits at the center of that opportunity,” noted Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Carrie Chenery. “By choosing Northern Virginia to anchor its U.S. footprint, Phasecraft gains access to the talent, federal partners, research assets, and customer base needed to scale cutting-edge technology from breakthrough science into practical solutions.”

Phasecraft is a quantum computing company that develops algorithms and software designed to enable practical applications of quantum computers across industries such as materials science, energy, and pharmaceuticals.
