07/30/2008
Finish Line, Inc., an operator of mall-based apparel stores, will expand its corporate headquarters and national distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. The $34 million investment will create more than 180 new jobs over the next five years. The company currently employs 670 people at the headquarters/distribution facility. "The expansion will support our continued growth in the United States," says Alan Cohen, Finish Lines's CEO. "Finish Line is a homegrown Indiana company, and we are committed to Indianapolis and being an important part of the eastside community." The state has offered the company up to $2.055 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $250,000 in training grants contingent on the company's job creation plans. In addition, the city of Indianapolis will provide a 10-year property tax abatement.
