Jones Lang LaSalle: Global Market Perspective July/August 2010
Jones Lang LaSalle finds that economic recovery is general across the globe, with regional markets performing variously, in its Global Market Perspective.
7/27/2010
Asia Pacific recovered the fastest in 2010, but its investment markets are waiting for rentals to catch up with that growth. European investors seem more hesitant than they were in the first half of 2010 due to worries over national debts and austerity proposals. And while the United States had a shaky start in 2010, investments are growing, and "momentum is building," Jones Lang LaSalle says.
Domestic companies still dominate Asian corporate markets, but foreign firms are gaining vitality. Europe will see retail growth for the remainder of 2010 and into 2011. And the corporate market in the Americas continues to grow, especially for Latin American commercial space.
Additionally, Jones Lang LaSalle expects Brazil to lead the Americas in second quarter growth, North America to see positive net absorption returns, and global investment to grow by up to 50 percent of 2009 levels.
