Wichita Eagle: Martin Interconnect Services to expand, move
Martin Interconnect Services, a producer of wire harnesses for manufacturing applications, is expanding in Wichita, Kansas, according to the
Wichita Eagle
. The company will add 37 jobs over the next five years, and has purchased a new building in the city.
The company will invest more than $615,000 in the expansion. The Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition is partly funding the growth with a forgivable loan. County Commissioners will vote to approve the funds within the next few weeks.
Martin, a family-owned business, has almost doubled in size over the past two years. Company owners decided to leverage the recession to expand from a local business to a national operation.
