Software Developer Platinum Solutions Expanding West Virginia Operations
Area Development Online News Desk (01/14/2009)
Platinum Solutions, a software developer and defense contractor, will expand its operations at its Bridgeport, West Virginia, facility, according to the West Virginia governor’s office. The company plans to hire at least 80 new employees — more than four times its current work force — within the next six months for technical and support positions; salaries are expected to range between $30,000 and $150,000 per year plus benefits. “We are dedicated to building our presence in West Virginia, and we are proud to be able to provide high-tech jobs and growth to the local community,” says Laila Rossi, Platinum Solutions’ CEO. “We have found an incredible pool of talent in West Virginia, which will help us advance our mission of developing software which saves lives and makes our country a safer place.” The company was recently awarded a federal agency contract that facilitated the expansion and is likely to create additional opportunities over the next five years. No information was released regarding company investment or financial incentives.
