Alcon Expands Lesage, West Virginia, Production Operations
04/12/2026
The investment at the company’s existing facility will include an additional 65,000 square feet to increase production capacity for precision-engineered ophthalmic products used in vision correction procedures.
“We’re super excited we can expand and bring new products,” said Candace Childers, General Manager of Alcon’s Lesage facility. “This investment opens the door for future growth and continued expansion of our operations in the region.”
To support the project, the state of West Virginia will provide more than $1 million in incentives.
“For decades, Alcon has shown that a global leader can find great success right here in the Mountain State,” noted Governor Patrick Morrisey. “This expansion demonstrates that West Virginia isn’t just a place to do business, but that it’s one of the best places in the world for a global leader to thrive.”
Alcon develops and manufactures ophthalmic products, including intraocular lenses and delivery systems used in vision correction procedures. The company serves patients and providers globally through its network of manufacturing and research operations.
