Jones Lang LaSalle CEO Colin Dyer at Davos: Four Emerging CRE Trends
01/26/2011
"After avoiding the most catastrophic outcomes in the wake of the global economic and financial crisis, commercial real estate markets in all regions of the world are rebounding broadly, albeit at an uneven pace," Dyer said. "Although the world still must work through significant financial, economic and political risks in 2011, it's clear we're getting back on track with the comeback of a number of positive, long-term commercial real estate trends."
Dyer's expectations include:
• Property market recovery will encourage the globalization of capital flows and improvement of liquidity in capital markets.
• Commercial property will regain its position as a leading institutional investment vehicle.
• Capital sources will require greater transparency.
• Sustainability and energy management will become even more critical to businesses.
