Silicon Valley IT Firm’s Expansion to Dublin, Ireland, Expected to Create 125 Jobs
05/31/2011
Marketo is a revenue and market prediction software company based in Silicon Valley. It specializes in revenue-performance management involving new ways for customers to make purchases online via websites and social media. Last year the firm experienced 300 percent sales growth.
When considering various nations for the expansion, Marketo sought out a European hub with a large talent pool of skilled people--and Ireland met the qualifications, according to company President/CEO Phil Fernandez. "Ireland has built a great reputation as a center for software-as-a-service companies," he said. "We look forward to expanding operations in EMEA [Europe, the Middle East, and Africa], and support[ing] our swiftly growing international customer base from Dublin."
This past March Marketo received a "Hottest Companies in Silicon Valley" award from Lead411 in recognition of its status as one of the fastest-growing technology firms California's famous innovation zone. Marketo's client list includes over 700 customers in B2B industries such as high technology, financial services, healthcare, communications and professional services.
