Meditech In Process of Obtaining Approvals for Project Expected to Create Over 800 Jobs in Massachusetts

08/18/2011
Medical Information Technology Inc. (Meditech) has received verbal approval on a site plan review from local officials to develop an 186,000-sq.-ft. office building in Freetown, Massachusetts, according to an exclusive story by The Herald News.

It is one of many "green lights" the firm is anticipated to receive in the near future for the project

"The company expects to create 825 jobs in the region and generate $500,000 in annual tax revenue for Freetown," stated the newspaper.

Meditech Inc. spokesman Paul Berthiaume has declined to comment on the company's proceedings in Freetown and other local/state permits it must obtain.

However, Planning Board Chairman Robert Raymond said Meditech Inc.'s plan was well-conceived and "only minor issues remained," noted The Herald News. And Conservation Commissioner Chairman Keven Desmarais stated that as far as his Commission was concerned, they were "good to go" on the project.
