09/24/2008
Software Engineering Professionals, Inc. (SEP) will invest $7 million to expand its headquarters and development center in Carmel, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The project is expected to create approximately 90 new jobs over the next five years. The company provides enterprise and web-based software applications for the aerospace, defense, medical, and automotive markets. "SEP is making a commitment to Indiana, where we have always enjoyed a positive business environment and capable work force compatible with our culture and goals," says Jeff Gilbert, SEP's president. Incentives offered to SEP include up to $950,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $120,000 in training grants contingent on job creation, as well as property tax abatement from the city of Carmel.
