South Korea-Based Sam Dong Expands Rogersville, Tennessee, Production Operations

South Korea-based winding wire manufacturer Sam Dong plans to expand its operations in Rogersville, Tennessee. The $13.5 million project is expected to create 22 jobs in Hawkins County.

The investment at the company’s existing facility will increase production capacity for enamel and Continuously Transposed Conductor (CTC) winding wire used in transformers and utility-scale electrical grid applications.

Sam Dong is a manufacturer of winding wire and copper products used in transformers, motors, generators, and other electrical equipment. The company specializes in the manufacturing of oxygen-free high-conductivity copper, continuously transposed conductors, insulated and magnet wires, and other specialized winding materials.
