Sweden-Based Dometic Expands Sparta, Tennessee, Manufacturing Operations

08/22/2026
Sweden-based outdoor technology company Dometic plans to expand its operations in Sparta, Tennessee. The project is expected to create approximately 90 jobs in White County.

The company will relocate its steering and helm manufacturing processes to its existing facility.

“This investment reflects Dometic’s long-term commitment to our marine business and to manufacturing in Tennessee,” said Dometic Marine Segment President Eric Fetchko. “Expanding our Sparta operations allows us to bring additional capabilities together in one location, strengthen our manufacturing footprint and better support our customers as we continue to grow. We appreciate the partnership of the State of Tennessee, White County and the Upper Cumberland region and look forward to welcoming new team members to Dometic.”

Dometic develops and manufactures products for the marine, recreational vehicle, automotive and outdoor markets. The company’s Marine business provides steering, control and other equipment and systems for recreational and commercial vessels.

“One of the strongest indicators of Tennessee’s business climate is when companies already operating here choose to expand,” noted Deputy Governor and TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter. “Dometic’s continued investment in White County reflects the value existing industries see in our workforce, partnerships and long-term economic strategy. We appreciate Dometic’s continued commitment to Tennessee and look forward to supporting the company’s future growth.”

“TVA and Sparta Electric & Public Works congratulate Dometic on its plans to expand operations in White County,” added TVA Vice President of Economic Development Heidi Smith. “We are proud to partner with the Highlands Economic Partnership and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development in our shared commitment to job creation in the region and to support companies like Dometic in its continued business success.”
