Pennsylvania Packaging Company Expands Two Plants

Dart Container, a manufacturer of disposable food-service packaging, will invest $39.6 million to expand its facilities in Lancaster and Leola, Pennsylvania. The Lancaster New Era reports that the company plans to create 125 new jobs at the two plants. Approximately 300,000 square feet will be added to Dart's warehousing facility in Leola, where the company currently operates in 17 buildings covering 2.7 million square feet. The Lancaster warehousing and manufacturing plant will see 180,000 square feet added to its existing 570,000 square feet. State and local incentives of at least $500,000 have been offered to the company, which expects to complete the construction in mid-February.
