Johnson Controls to Invest $24 Million in Expansion Creating 45 KY Jobs
10/21/2011
Construction is expected to be complete next spring. Currently the facility employs 96 people.
Johnson Controls Power Solutions is a global leader in lead-acid starter batteries, advanced lead-acid batteries for Start-Stop vehicles, and lithium-ion batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles.
The state already has approved up to $1 million in performance-based tax incentives for the project through the Kentucky Business Investment program. Johnson Controls also has been approved for tax benefits of up to $105,000 through the Kentucky Enterprise Investment Act.
"Johnson Controls is a long-standing corporate citizen in the Commonwealth, employing thousands of Kentuckians in multiple locations across the state," said Gov. Steve Beshear. "It is for this reason that we are pleased to partner with community leaders and Johnson Controls to make this job growth and investment possible, creating 45 new jobs in the Northern Kentucky area."
