Ten Firms Create An Estimated 846 Jobs With Ohio Tax Credit Authority Funding Assistance

According to Gov. John R. Kasich’s Office projects approved by the TCA include:
In Brimfield Township, Bang Printing of Ohio, doing business as Hess Print Solutions, expects to create 100 full-time positions in Portage County. The firm plans to generate $3.5 million in additional annual payroll as a result of its expansion project. Bang Printing prints education workbooks, catalogs, promotional materials, programs and magazines. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Westerville, Cheryl & Company expects to create 92 full-time positions, generating $2.9 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s expansion project in Delaware County. Cheryl & Co. features gourmet cookies, baked goods and desserts. The TCA approved a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In the Village of Evendale, The General Electric Company expects to retain 5,000 full time positions, and $140 million in existing payroll, as a result of the Job Retention Tax Credit restructuring plan to stabilize General Electric’s presence in Ohio. General Electric is a producer of large and small jet engines for commercial and military aircraft and also supplies aircraft derived engines for marine applications. The TCA approved a 50 percent, 11-year Job Retention Tax Credit for this project.
In Brookfield Township, JW Measurement Company, expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $6.8 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s new location project in Trumbull County. JW Measurement offers engineered gas measurement equipment, supplies and services to the oil and natural gas industry. The TCA approved a 55 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Solon, Ohio, Nestle USA, Inc. and approved affiliates expect to create 250 full-time positions, generating $21.8 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s new location project in Cuyahoga County. Nestle produces food based on nutrition, health and wellness needs. The TCA approved a 65 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Toledo, Owens Corning and approved affiliates, expects to create 50 full-time positions, generating $1.8 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s retention project in Lucas County. Owens Corning is a innovator of glass fiber technology. The TCA approved a 40 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Mason, PQ Shelters, Inc, expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $4.2 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s new location project in Warren County. PQ Shelters, a subsidiary of The Armor Group, Inc., manufactures fabricated shelter and enclosure products. The TCA approved a 50 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Massillon, Quest Specialty Coatings, expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $895,000 in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s expansion project in Stark County. Quest manufactures and markets paints, primers, hardeners, clear coats and reducers used primarily in the aftermarket auto industry. The TCA approved a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Cleveland, Siemens Medical Solutions USA, expects to create 20 full-time positions, generating $2.6 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s new location project in Cuyahoga County. Siemens is one of the world’s largest suppliers to the healthcare industry. The TCA approved a 50 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
In Heath, Ohio, Xperion Energy & Environment USA expects to create 59 full-time positions, generating $2 million in additional annual payroll, as a result of the company’s project in Licking County. Xperion is a subsidiary of Avanco GmbH, a global company serving customers in the fields of industry, energy and environment and aerospace. The TCA approved a 50 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
