Food Maker Expanding in New York

Friendship Dairies LLC, a manufacturer of cultured and pasteurized dairy products, will expand its plant in Friendship, New York, according to Buffalo Business First. The company will add 40 new jobs to its existing payroll of 218 employees, extending its operation to two full five-day-per-week shifts. Plans are to add 27,000 square feet to the manufacturing facility, renovate an additional 7,000 square feet, and invest more than $3 million in new machinery and equipment. Friendship Dairies is a subsidiary of Texas-headquartered Dean Foods. Incentives offered to the company include a $200,000 capital grant from the state.
