Telefunken Semiconductor Plans Multi-million Investment To Expand Its Roseville, California, Facility

The firm said its first phase of its expansion will increase its wafer processing capability by 100 percent. “Telefunken Semiconductors is excited to announce the expansion of our manufacturing facility here in the U.S.,” said Roger Lee, President and chief executive officer. “The increased capacity is the result our recent acquisition of the state-of-the-art semiconductor equipment from factories in Japan. The added tools will help us to satisfy the strong demand we are forecasting from our customers. This will move Telefunken Semiconductors into one of the top spots for specialty foundries in the Western world.”

No immediate job creation estimates were expected as a result of the expansion.
