12/15/2010
PAS Group, a developer and producer of cable and panel systems for household appliances, is expanding its manufacturing plant in Washington, North Carolina. The company will create 239 jobs and invest $3.2 million in the project. The One North Carolina Fund is supporting the expansion with an $800,000 grant.

"PAS USA is excited with the opportunities for continued growth of our business in eastern North Carolina and with the support of the state of North Carolina through its work force and business development grants," said Frank Wendland, general manager of PAS USA.

The company will receive a new supply contract to produce 250,000 dishwasher panel systems from a major home appliance company. The Washington facility conducts injection molding, printing, high-speed milling, assembly, and electronic testing.
