Sawyer Manufacturing Moves Into Larger Tulsa, Oklahoma, Facility To Accommodate Expansion

Sawyer, which currently employs more than 40 people in the Tulsa area, constructed its larger headquarters at 7799 S. Regency Drive. In recent months the firm hired 10 additional employees, with plans to add at least 5 more in the near future, Tulsa Regional Chamber said. A more spacious facility was needed to accommodate expansion of service and increasing demand for the company’s products. The company plans to sell its facility located at 1031 N. Columbia Place.
Sawyer Manufacturing Company President Thomas Sawyer said: “As we celebrate our 65th year in business, we are excited to continue our growth in Tulsa, OK. Sawyer is only as good as the folks that work here. I am happy to say that Tulsa and the surrounding communities provide a workforce with outstanding work ethic and skills, which enables us to remain competitive in the global pipeline industry.”
Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett said: “Tulsa’s manufacturing sector is among the healthiest in the nation, and the energy segment is producing the best economic results for our region. We are aggressively working to grow our workforce in all manufacturing and supporting Tulsa’s skilled workforce. Sawyer’s success and added workforce is contributing to that industry’s health. The positive health of the industry is demonstrated by Sawyer’s choice to remain in Tulsa and expand.”
