FedEx Ground Building $5M Distribution Facility in Kokomo, Indiana

03/08/2011
FedEx Ground is proceeding with building a $5 million, 63,000-square-foot distribution facility in Kokomo, Indiana. The company will create more than 12 new jobs and retain its existing labor base of more than 20 employees.

"The Kokomo station expansion is part of a nationwide effort to boost daily package volume and further enhance the speed and service capabilities of the FedEx Ground network," said Jim Primm, Central Region Vice President, FedEx Ground. "Kokomo's convenient access to major highways, work force availability, and proximity to current customers and employees means that FedEx Ground will be able to better serve its customers in this region."

The company will locate the facility in the Haynes High-Tech Industrial Park.
