Medicis to Add 100 Jobs, Build New Scottsdale, Arizona HQ Building

Medicis Pharmaceutical will expand its Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters by 150,000 square feet this year and hire 100 workers, the Phoenix Business Journal reports. The company plans to construct a new building east of its existing office.

"We've added people in almost every department of the company, and we have plans in a controlled way to be hiring more people this year as well," Medicis Chairman and CEO Jonah Shacknai told the Journal. "We are creating many new positions within the company as we grow."

The company has not yet decided when construction will begin. Medicis produces the drugs Restylane and Solodyn.
