Medvantx Expands Louisville, Kentucky, Distribution Operations

Pharmacy services provider Medvantx has expanded its operations in Louisville, Kentucky. The $27 million project is expected to create 122 jobs.

The investment will increase the company’s pharmacy distribution capacity for prescriptions shipped throughout the U.S. and its territories.

“Improving patient access is at the heart of everything we do at Medvantx,” said Medvantx CEO Kurt Browning. “Last year, our company served more than 10,000 Kentuckians in need, and hundreds of thousands of patients across America. With our expanded operations, we look forward to helping our pharmaceutical industry customers serve more patients.”

To support the project, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved an incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program.

“Kentucky’s pharmacy and healthcare logistics sectors have seen tremendous growth in recent years because of our skilled workforce and business-friendly resources,” noted Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. “Today’s ribbon-cutting represents another quality company choosing to reinvest in the commonwealth. The 122 jobs created by this project mean more opportunities for Kentuckians to provide for their families. I want to thank Medvantx’s leaders for believing in Kentucky and look forward to their continued success here in Louisville.”

Medvantx is a pharmacy services company that provides medication dispensing, distribution, and patient support services for pharmaceutical manufacturers and their patient assistance programs.
