Wagner Logistics Plans Liberty, Missouri, Warehouse Operations

Third-party logistics provider Wagner Logistics plans to expand its operations in Liberty, Missouri. The project is expected to create 79 jobs in Clay County.

The company will lease two warehouse facilities totaling more than 830,000 square feet, providing manufacturing support, distribution and transportation management services for a Kansas City-area manufacturer.

"This is exactly the kind of operation where Wagner's strengths come through," said Wagner Logistics President and CEO Brian Smith. "It requires speed, flexibility, close coordination and the ability to design a solution around what the customer actually needs."

“This expansion in Liberty reflects Missouri’s strong business climate and creates new opportunities for continued economic growth and prosperity throughout the region,” noted Missouri Department of Economic Development Director Michelle Hataway. “Expansions like this strengthen our communities, grow our economy, and advance our mission of Helping Missourians Prosper.”

To support the project Wagner will benefit from the Missouri Works Program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation, subject to verification of program requirements.

Wagner Logistics specializes in third-party logistics, warehousing, distribution, transportation management and manufacturing support services. The company provides customized supply chain solutions, including inventory management, fulfillment and integrated logistics operations for manufacturers and distributors.
