08/24/2010
"Kentucky recognizes the need for business-friendly programs, and as a result we're pleased to be able to bring additional jobs and investment to the Bowling Green area," said Günter Fritz, managing director of Magna Car Top Systems.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has pre-approved Magna for up to $662,800 in tax benefits through the Kentucky Business Investment program.
Chevrolet already has a strong presence in Bowling Green. The city is home to a GM assembly plant that is the sole producer of its Corvette model. And Magna already employs 18 people in the city. Production of the Camaro roofs will begin by 2011.
