Pipe Coatings Firm Adds/Retains 80 Jobs in Relocation of Facility from KS to MO

Duraseal Pipe Coatings Co. has announced it will relocate its Olathe, KS, manufacturing facility across the state line to the former Richards-Gebaur Memorial Airport, situated about 18 miles south of Kansas City, MO. The technology innovator will bring 35 employees to its new 37,000-sq.-ft location and hire 45 new workers. The project brings an initial investment of $8.4 million. Each new position will pay over $30,000 a year.

Duraseal obtained nearly $212,000 in Missouri Quality Jobs program tax credits for the move.

"Richards-Gebaur is an ideal location for a company like Duraseal, a growth-oriented manufacturer staying on the cutting edge of its industry's technology," said Port Authority President Michael Collins.
