Carolina AAC Invests $16M in Bennettsville, South Carolina, Facility

Carolina AAC has selected Bennettsville, South Carolina, for a new manufacturing facility. The company will invest $16 million and create 36 jobs. Carolina AAC produces energy-efficient building materials.

"I applaud the efforts of the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the South Carolina Energy Office, the North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA), Marlboro County, and Marion County for working with Carolina AAC to ensure that we were able to locate in this area of South Carolina," said Charles Paterno, managing member of Carolina AAC. "I would especially like to thank Marlboro County and Marion County for diligently working together to make sure that we were able to locate here in the Pee Dee."

The 56,000-square-foot facility will be located in the Marlboro County Certified Industrial Park. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Clean Green Investment Incentives Program-Industrial Energy Project of the South Carolina Energy Office, and the South Carolina Department of Commerce, along with other investors, are helping to fund the project.
