Catamaran Corporation Plans To Establish Its National Innovation Center In Chicago, Illinois
07/25/2013
“Catamaran’s selection of Chicago for the site of their new Innovation Center reflects a growing recognition of Chicago’s world-class status as a leader in taking a forward-thinking, 21st century approach to business,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “I welcome the Catamaran Innovation Center to River North and look forward to working together to build a more prosperous and healthy city.”
The Mayor’s Office said the Center will enhance Catamaran’s already groundbreaking efforts in the pharmacy benefit industry, providing a space for healthcare experts, business leaders, consultants, and clients to collaborate and view the future of pharmacy, driven by Catamaran's innovation. At the Center, Catamaran will demonstrate how it harnesses the power of comprehensive data and flexible technology to improve health outcomes and reduce medical costs.
“Catamaran has grown from an $81 million company in 2006 to a $14 billion company, and embedding innovation into every aspect of our operations is how we did it,” said Mark Thierer, Chairman and CEO of Catamaran. “Now, with the opening of the Innovation Center, we can take idea generation to the next level, and the Chicago area – our home for more than 12 years – provides an ideal environment with its infrastructure and strong innovation community.”
