Solero Technologies Expands Water Valley, Mississippi, Operations

08/22/2026
Automotive parts manufacturer Solero Technologies plans to expand its operations in Water Valley, Mississippi. The $14 million project is expected to create 86 jobs in Yalobusha County.

The investment will include the addition of 14 manufacturing lines at the company’s existing facility, as well as upgrades to electrical systems, information technology infrastructure, HVAC, compressed air systems, roofing and flooring.

“Solero’s vision is to become a top three global leader in mobility controls technology,” said Solero Technologies CEO Dr. Donald R. James. “As we work to grow the company into a more than $1 billion enterprise, continued investment in our Water Valley, Mississippi, facility will be essential to advancing our growth strategy and supporting Solero’s future product development transformation in global mobility. We deeply value our partnership with the state of Mississippi and the investment in Solero’s continued success.”

To support the project, the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. The Yalobusha County Economic Development District is also supporting the expansion. “For more than 50 years, Solero Technologies has been an important part of the Water Valley community and Mississippi’s manufacturing sector,” noted Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork. “This expansion builds on that legacy while bringing 86 new jobs and a significant new investment to Yalobusha County. I am proud to see a longtime Mississippi manufacturer continue growing, creating opportunities and building for the future right here at home.”

Solero Technologies is a manufacturer of actuator and solenoid valve solutions for the automotive industry and other industrial markets.

“TVA congratulates Solero Technologies on its plans to expand operations in Yalobusha County,” added TVA Vice President of Economic Development Heidi Smith. “We’re proud to partner with Mississippi Development Authority, Water Valley Utilities Commission, the city of Water Valley and Yalobusha County Economic Development District to support companies like Solero Technologies as they make continued investment and create job opportunities in our region. We celebrate this announcement together and look forward to Solero Technologies continued business success in the Valley.”

“The skilled workforce in Yalobusha County and the talented leadership at Solero Technologies have built a 50 year legacy of success in rural America based on hard work, innovation, and perseverance,” said Yalobusha County Economic Development District Executive Director Kagan Coughlin. “We are thrilled that Atar Capital recognized the strong foundation in Solero Technologies in 2022, and has leaned into the future, partnering their long-term vision and global strategy with our local talent to build economic opportunities for future generations of Mississippians. We appreciate the resources the State of Mississippi is able to provide in support of this latest round of investment and job creation at Solero. We look forward to the company’s growth, and welcoming the families that relocate to our communities to contribute to that growth.”
