Exhibit Company Investing $4.3 Million to Expand in Indiana

08/06/2009
ICON Exhibits, a designer and producer of exhibits and media for tradeshows and special events, will invest $4.3 million to expand its operations in Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to the Indiana governor's office. The company plans to add up to 60 new jobs with the expansion, which will involve the addition of a 20,000-square-foot building to its existing 60,000-square-foot campus. "We see Fort Wayne as a smart place to grow our business for numerous reason," says Justin Hersh, president and CEO of ICON. "The central Midwest location offers incredible efficiencies for a production and transportation-intensive business like ours. Additionally, the quality and work ethic of the people has helped build the strong, successful team we have today and hope to build on for the future." The state has offered ICON $485,000 in performance-based tax credits and $40,000 in training grants, contingent on job creation; the city will also consider property tax abatement. The project is expected to be completed in 2012.
