Excel Linen Supply and Telemark move Kansas City, Kansas, Creating 165 Jobs
01/16/2013
The Linen Supply firm will bring more than 150 existing jobs to a 130,000-square-foot building at 501 Funston Road, with plans to create an additional 132 new full-time jobs over the next five years. Recent growth prompted the company’s move to the larger facility, Kansas Department of Commerce officials said. The increased space and additional jobs will enable Excel Linen to continue to expand its service to new markets. To support this expansion, Telemark will create an additional 34 new full-time jobs in Kansas City.
“Excel Linen is excited about the move and expansion into Kansas,” said Dominic Brancato, vice president of Excel Linen. “The move will help streamline our operations, create new jobs and allow us to purchase some new equipment. The incentives Kansas offered and the location and layout of the building are what prompted us to move to Kansas.”
“We are pleased that we were able to identify the right location and provide programs to help Excel Linen and Telemark expand and grow their business in Wyandotte County,” said Greg Kindle, president of the Wyandotte Economic Development Council.
“Excel Linen Supply and Telemark offer great service to their customers,” Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George said. “I’m excited that the companies will be a part of the Kansas business environment and create good new jobs in the state.” Information on incentives the firm might qualify for was not immediately available.
