Aries Plans Detroit, Michigan, Headquarters Operations

05/20/2026
Financial technology company Aries plans to establish operations in Detroit, Michigan. The more than $1 million project is expected to create 94 jobs.

The company’s new headquarters facility will also serve as its customer operations and compliance center, supporting trading operations, compliance monitoring, and client service functions.

“Aries is incredibly excited to launch this project, and we are deeply grateful to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Team Michigan for this strategic partnership, which is instrumental to our vision of contributing to Detroit's growth as a national and international FinTech hub,” said Reda Falih, CEO of Aries.

To support the project, the Michigan Strategic Fund awarded the company a $250,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. Additional workforce support is being provided through Michigan Works! and Detroit at Work.

“The Detroit Region continues to attract innovative companies like Aries that are looking for both top talent and a supportive business environment,” noted Maureen Donohue Krauss, President and CEO of the Detroit Regional Partnership. “Through close coordination with our partners, we’re helping to ensure these new opportunities translate into meaningful, high-quality jobs for our residents and long-term growth for the region.”

Aries develops software and digital platforms for financial services and investment management applications. The company’s operations include technology development, data processing, and digital financial infrastructure services for institutional and enterprise customers.

“We are excited to welcome Aries to our city, the 90-plus high-paying jobs it will bring and the genuine career pathways it will create through licensing and training,” added Kevin Johnson, President and CEO of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation. “Their choice to plant its global headquarters in our city indicates that the rest of the country is taking notice of Detroit’s rising profile in tech and financial services.”
