Design Within Reach Relocating Company HQ to Stamford, Connecticut
10/27/2010
"We chose Stamford due to its proximity to New York City, vibrant available work force, and the opportunity to be part of the exhilarating renewal taking place in Stamford's South End," said company Chief Operating Officer John McPhee. "We look forward to having our corporate offices located directly above the newest Design Within Reach Studio."
The company will invest $5 million to locate in the city's Yale and Towne Lock Factory in its Harbor Point development. The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development is offering up to $1.5 million in tax credits through its Urban and Industrial Sites Reinvestment Tax Credit program.
