- Direct Energy, one of North America's largest energy services firms, plans to expand its customer operations center in Tulsa and add 115 new jobs. Currently the facility employs around 160 people. The Tulsa office serves as an operations base for the company's growing residential energy business in Texas, across the Northeast, and in Canada.
- A combined 370 employees will be added to the workforces of four Tulsa companies. Machining firms Avery Barron Industries, Fisher Products LLC and Process Manufacturing Co. announced 270 jobs (collectively) to support energy-related projects. And AT&T said it will hire 100 new workers at its Tulsa customer service center.
- The region's healthy aerospace workforce has added 1,500 employees since the beginning of 2011. NORDAM Group added 326 workers; American Airlines added 500 employees; Spirit AeroSystems added 661 associates; and BizJet International added 89 workers. This robust OK industry is responsible for a $5 billion payroll, the creation of 144,000 direct/indirect jobs, and $12.4 billion in annual economic output.
