According to the firm, data center development will be executed in phases. Phase 1, which represents 200 racks, is slated to open in Summer 2014. Argosy's new data center will be designed to have A/B power distribution via multiple UPS, N+1 diesel generator backup, state-of-the-art cooling systems, round the clock monitoring, and SSAE 16 compliance. The data center will be carrier-neutral with dual, diverse 10 Gb links to Toronto's telecommunication hub at 151 Front Street West, giving customer access to more than 150 national and international network providers.
In addition, the data center will offer up to 8.0 megawatts of critical load, giving Argosy the ability to service clients with high-density requirements. Argosy Networks is currently leasing co-location space at its new data center.
