New Packaging Company Locating, Creating 60 Jobs in South Carolina

Container Design & Solutions LLC (CDS), a newly formed manufacturer of corrugated containers and custom packaging, will locate its operations in Greenville, South Carolina, according to Greenville economic development officials. The company -- a sister operation to Progressive Packaging of Greenville -- plans to invest more than $1 million to renovate an existing vacant space and create more than 60 new jobs over the next two to three years. "CDS represents an outgrowth of our vision to provide end-to-end packaging solutions to Southeastern businesses," says Russ Crowe, CDS's president. "The strategic expansion of CDS into this new space perfectly complements the capabilities of Progressive Packaging, as we work to serve the packaging needs of our clients wherever they do business." No specific information was released regarding financial incentives, although Crowe indicates that Greenville economic development agencies have advised the company on resources available for worker training.
